we all pay the same tax rate whereas the money is all spent in hilo, kona.

We all pay the same GET, TAT, State income tax, State fuel tax, State vehicle tax, and the money is spent on Oahu.

[i]realize HWY130 work but that is state, not county[/]

Isn't that work mostly funded with Federal grants? Then why do we need State to "manage" the project? Wouldn't it be more efficient if County could accept Federal funds directly?

How do we support this, I'm not the political type but the county's and State's treatment of Puna is pretty much a hate crime

yes vivian, very interesting. this dates back to an old lawsuit, the judge ruled that puna was discriminated against. the county has put this off for years now. interesting this comes up at same time harry kim wants to raise property taxes (especially the minimum) where i would guess those particular lots will in majority, be in puna. so we all pay the same tax rate whereas the money is all spent in hilo, kona. certainly nothing has been done in puna as far as our infrastructure for a very long time...(i realize HWY130 work but that is state, not county)
