Free speech is essential to our democracy, political free speech especially so. The problem is most people aren't getting on a soap box in the town square to deliver their protected speech (and get honest immediate feedback from the real people around them). Most people these days are trying to communicate online in privately owned forums like Facebook or Punaweb, and there are no protections. If you want absolute free speech online you need to create your own website or host your own blog.

When there is no fire.
Some statements are not true.
Some comments can incite fear and violence for no reason.
That's not free speech.

Assume the best and ask questions.
