Lee Loy (CD3), Eoff (CD8), San Buenaventura (HD4) and Lowen (HD6) running unopposed.

Puna's two council incumbents also face challengers. District 4 Councilwoman Eileen O’Hara faces Ashley Kierkiewicz, and District 5 Councilwoman Jen Ruggles faces Matt Kanealii-Kleinfelder and Frederic Ric Wirick.

Isn't this the Wirick of "dueling boards at OLE"? Conflict of interest?

Matt Kanealii-Kleinfelder, Hilo; Ashley Kierkiewicz, Hilo.
Wirick, IDK, have concerns about Orchidland and campaign funding.
I think both O'hara and Ruggles have done a good job in their
first terms.
I remember Puna Council representation going back to Al Smith, and
only Gary Safarik, Eileen O'Hara and Jennifer Ruggles were and are capable reps.
I see the hand of "the Hilo boys" in the Kleinfelder and Kierkiewicz candidacies.
I remember Al Smith, Emily Naeole, Fred Blas and Danny Paleka, Zendo Kern.
Therefor, I'm OK with Ruggles and O'Hara.
