Robert Mueller who lead the two year investigation, made it easier for Tulsi to answer a question about Russia and national security when he spoke this morning, Wed, May 29th:

"As alleged by the grand jury in an indictment, Russian intelligence officers who are part of the Russian military launched a concerted attack on our political system. The indictment alleges that they used sophisticated cyber techniques to hack into computers and networks used by the Clinton campaign. They stole private information and then released that information through fake online identities and through the organization Wikileaks. The releases were designed and timed to interfere with our election and to damage a presidential candidate."

He states clearly, unequivocally that there is simple answer to the question “Is Vladimir Putin is a threat to US national security? Tulsi didn’t answer “yes” she replied “fake news.”

I hope as our representative in Congress, Tulsi reconsiders the situation.

REP. TULSI GABBARD: "You know, it’s unfortunate that you’re citing that article, George, because it’s a whole lot of fake news. What I am focused on is..."

She said the article was fake news. My god, learn how to read.

She said the article was fake news. My god, learn how to read.

The article contained the issue of Putin & national security, international players in that scenario, and their possible relationship to Tulsi, and a huge unknown factor about whether they were encouraged or unencouraged, coordinated or uncoordinated. Tulsi refused to address any of that.

I can read perfectly well, with comprehension, the full scope of the situation.
Not just the excerpt that tells a small part of the story. Tulsi’s reply, unfortunately leaves us guessing.

Puna residents and voters deserve a real answer.

Puna residents and voters deserve a real answer.

Puna residents and voters have consistently failed to demonstrate that they deserve anything at all.

"What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?"

https://news.gallup.com/poll/1675/most-important-problem.aspx

National security 1%
Elections/Election reform 1%
Situation with Russia * (Less than 0.5%)

Puna residents and voters deserve a real answer? How about we discuss things that people actually give a damn about?

An article which highlights Tulsi’s childhood and formative years.

Tulsi Gabbard Had a Very Strange Childhood.
Which may help explain why she’s out of place in today’s Democratic Party. And her long-shot 2020 candidacy.
When FiveThirtyEight asked 60 Democratic Party activists whom they didn’t want to win, Tulsi Gabbard came in first out of 17 candidates

Now as our representative, she barely represents us:

In the house, to which she was elected in 2012, Tulsi Gabbard does not behave like a representative who wants to remain in Congress; she appears to be building a political platform for another office. Her legislative record amounts to one anodyne bipartisan bill on veterans’ affairs, but she is constantly introducing “messaging bills” — non-committee-specific, hopeless pieces of legislation...

That's very interesting. I just got done reading several news sources and Tulsi was barely mentioned. One article focused on her former views on LGBTQ+ and the other on her desire to get out of Afghanistan. Both were complimentary but she was a very small blip on the media radar.

Tulsi lost me just minutes into the debate. The question was "What would you do to ensure that women are paid fairly in this country?" Tulsi answered "First of all, let’s recognize the situation we’re in, that the American people deserve a president who will put your interests ahead of the rich and powerful. That’s not what we have right now.

I enlisted in the Army National Guard after the Al Qaida terror attacks on 9/11 so I could go after those who had attacked us on that day. I still serve as a major. I served over 16 years, deployed twice to the Middle East, and in Congress served on the Foreign Affairs and Armed Services Affairs for over six years.

I know the importance of our national security, as well as the terribly high cost of war. And for too long, our leaders have failed us, taking us from one regime change war to the next, leading us into a new cold war and arms race, costing us trillions of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars and countless lives.

This insanity must end. As president, I will take your hard-earned taxpayer dollars and instead invest those dollars into serving your needs, things like health care, a green economy, good-paying jobs, protecting our environment, and so much more."

To which I would ask "Uh, Tulsi, did you even listen to the question?"

USA Today Winners and Losers

WINNER

Rep. Tulsi Gabbard

Gabbard was arguably an afterthought going into Wednesday's debate.

But the Hawaii representative exceeded expectations. Her answers were clear, concise and she had palpable stage presence.

Did you want her to say: "yes, it's a problem, and we can fix it"?

She had VERY limited time to speak, and it was a great decision on her part not to waste it on that topic. If she hadn't slam dunked on Ryan near the end, she would have had the least amount of speaking time by far. They were trying to ignore her and she responded by delivering her best message.

well done ignoring the question if you ask me, AND if you ask the online polls which all showed her "winning".

the online polls which all showed her "winning".

As long as the Troll vote remains strong she’s a winner:

Trolls target online polls following first Democratic presidential debate
Users from pro-Trump communities on 4chan and Reddit implored fellow members to vote for lower-polling candidates, specifically Tulsi Gabbard and Bill de Blasio.
