furniture store? - Lee M-S - 03-31-2014 I need a new couch--my old one has gotten a little too cat friendly. Yamadas doesn't have much that appeals to me, neither does the mattress place. Everything looks like it was inspired by marshmallows. Are there any other furniture stores around? Do I have to go all the way to Kona for some style? Where do you go in Kona? ><(((*> ~~~~ ><(("> ~~~~ ><'> ~~~~ >(> RE: furniture store? - d96778 - 03-31-2014 We bought a nice quality island style sofa & loveseat at Koloko's Furniture in Kona, just above Costco. They will deliver anywhere on the island for free. RE: furniture store? - tada - 03-31-2014 For cheaper 2nd hand can check the Habitat for Humanity in Kaloko and Smith's in Hilo. RE: furniture store? - Amrita - 03-31-2014 Assuming you mean the mattress store on 11; at 944 Kinoole is Furnitureland. Has I believe the best quality, since Koehnen's closed. Sales occur occasionally; they might tell you when one is coming up. Agree with next post Paradise Plants also. RE: furniture store? - HPPGuy - 04-01-2014 I just bought a sofa from Home World in Hilo. It was reasonably priced but they do charge for delivery. I also bought some beautiful furniture at Paradise Plants. They have a great selection and their prices are not bad. RE: furniture store? - Loretta - 04-01-2014 Koloko's in Kona gets my vote. It is worth the trip and delivery is always free. RE: furniture store? - birdmove - 04-01-2014 Yep, Koloko's. Jon in Keaau/HPP RE: furniture store? - Lee M-S - 04-01-2014 Home World is same as Furnitureland? That's actually what I meant by mattress place. I'll look there again, and I forgot Paradise Plants has that new building of furniture. I like Teak and Bamboo, but they don't usually have couches. I'll check Smith's again--their stock varies a lot. And it's probably time to check Hilo Buy and Sell again. Koloko's and Habitat in Kona. Didn't there used to be a used furniture store called Gray's or Grey's? Is that still around? ><(((*> ~~~~ ><(("> ~~~~ ><'> ~~~~ >(> RE: furniture store? - kimo wires - 04-01-2014 I saw a couch I liked a furnitureland once. Then they said it would take 4 months to get it. RE: furniture store? - kalakoa - 04-01-2014 Furnitureland is a "showroom". You not getting it today... |
