Much as I don't like him, he is correct. The judge was sitting on an island in the Pacific. And, separately, Hawaii is an island in the Pacific (though not the one the judge was sitting on). Now I wonder which island his granddaughter was born on?

States should have equal rights and representation, no? Hawaii probably has far more international and multi-cultural interests than most states so it seems relevant to me. Sessions approved the judge he is attacking. The White House attacks on other branches of government and lack of respect they demonstrate, including the death threats the judges are receiving should have everyone worried. J. Sessions attitude is more than disturbing.

Right SCal + what are we losing as (IMO) 1/2 of our OWN nation is hating the judge and thereby the State.
Glad we have the huge blue moat around us.
Mexico did get some nice cheers Wednesday night though.

This is a problem of perception. The travel ban blocked many innocent people who were authorized by the US to be in the country. This sent a scary message to many people from lots of other countries.
"The travel ban, such as it is, would affect less than 0.1% of all visitors. But the whole rhetoric around it has damaged the U.S. brand as a destination," said Adam Sacks, president of Tourism Economics. "It's a very discretionary market. It takes very little for them to shift their travel plan and preferences."
"Bookings and survey data are all indicating that travelers are adjusting their travel plans," he said.
It's not just leisure travel -- business travel will also be affected, said Mike McCormick, executive director of the Global Business Travel Association.
Nearly half of business travel managers say they're expecting to cut back on meetings and conferences in the U.S., according to a survey by the group.
The drop -- nearly 7% of expected travelers -- will cost the U.S. economy more than $18 billion and about 107,000 jobs, according to Tourism Economics, a forecasting firm used by the industry.

It will also lead to less international students coming to the US and spending $$$. All apart from the possibility that it's unconstitutional. What a blunder.

We're very proud to be the 50th State....only state a majority is non Caucasian which makes Hawaii a special place....
