Shouldn't they ask for more than $62M dollars? $62 million dollars isn't that much money these days. Virtucon alone makes over nine billion dollars a year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJR1H5tf5wE RE: Puna Kai for sale - Hotinhawaii2 - 03-07-2023 100% leased??? That food court has filled with tenants? RE: Puna Kai for sale - AaronM - 03-09-2023 Surprised that they kept it that long. RE: Puna Kai for sale - Punaperson - 03-11-2023 I'm guessing the 'low' price of $62 million is at least partially due to the very high insurance costs resulting from the Kilauea eruptions. RE: Puna Kai for sale - AaronM - 03-11-2023 Yeah, that was great timing all around. pele, covid, etc. RE: Puna Kai for sale - randomq - 03-11-2023 I'm honestly surprised there are so many businesses in there. I guess Puna is still growing in spite of everything! RE: Puna Kai for sale - kalakoa - 03-11-2023 surprised there are so many businesses in there Why, it's almost as if Puna Kai has the only available class-A retail space. RE: Puna Kai for sale - Obie - 03-11-2023 What about the Malama Marketplace ? There seems to always be something for rent in there including a large empty super market sized place. Safeway became Tractor Supply after sitting vacant for years ! Can you believe it, Pahoa has 4 gas stations now and they are all busy. Safeway was paying the lease on that empty space so the landlords had no incentive to try and rent it out. It would still be empty except that the county leased (or was going to lease, I forget) and then backed out of it and left Safeway off the hook and the landlords holding their bags. Before that happened Dels tried to lease it and was told to pound sand. When Safeway was no longer paying the lease on it suddenly a livestock feed store suddenly fit in with the landlord's "vision". |
