This is "Winning?" - HiloJulie - 01-29-2025

I think some people have a different idea as to what "winning" really is.

This will decimate a significant number of people here in Hawaii.

Most of which are the elderly and children. Most also Native Hawaiians.

Yeh, this sure is "winning."

Oh, the "winning" just continues!

This will impact the Hawaii consumer horrendously.

But we are "winning" right?

First, I am in no way condoning illegal immigration.

But now this:

This man has contributed more to Hawaii, in both sweat, equity, improved way of life for all of Hawaii and paid more taxes than over 50% of the legal population of this State.

You may have got what you voted for. But clearly not what you're paying for.

Yeah - this sure is "winning!"

I can tell you from experience it is not easy to grow 18 acres of vegetables.  Fresh food for Hawaii, which reduces our dependence on imported, 10 day old herbs and vegetables shipped in containers from the mainland.  We were told dangerous criminals would be deported, not farmers with a couple of traffic tickets.  Tickets that were dismissed.

We’re also told wasted expenditures will be identified and slashed from the budget.  Apparently federal agents posted in Hawaii tracking down traffic violators (citations dismissed) is considered an acceptable use of taxpayer money?

Non issue. Mexico caved almost immediately, as expected.

Who said anything about Mexico? And what the hell does that have to do with Hawaii?

Yeah, so much "winning!"

The article YOU posted, is about Mexico... and how tariffs will affect our Hawaii food prices.

Yes, and being clear, the article was about Mexico, Canada and China and the direct threat any imposed tariffs would have against Hawaii.

And to be even more clear, Mexico and Canada did not cave. The tariffs were "delayed." Enough to spook the markets, turn matters into turmoil and chaos, and if eventually enacted, will cause irreparable harm to Hawaii.

But, to some that's "winning." Right?

RE: This is "Winning?" - HiloJulie - 02-12-2025

Yet the "winning" continues - and will certainly continue here in Hawaii, and although, through a judge's order, funding is SUPPOSED to continue, for how long, who knows, but I'll leave you with this quote - from 2nd highest ranking "winner:"

"Judges aren’t allowed to control the executive’s legitimate power.”

"It will literally kill people"

The "winning" continues!

This can't possibly affect Hawaii and its people in any way, shape or form.

NOAA Fires 800 employees. More to be fired on Friday

No, nothing to worry about in any sense. Right?

This is "winning," right?
