Nice guy. His website is: http://www.fortunecity.com/oasis/angkor/176/ RE: The Kazumura Lava Tube - jade - 08-26-2010 Thanks! RE: The Kazumura Lava Tube - mdd7000 - 08-31-2010 interesting post, dakine... Since the state of Hawaii owns and retains all mineral rights, does not the state automatically own any/all lava tubes or caves as well? RE: The Kazumura Lava Tube - Seeb - 08-31-2010 Dakine, does your map show where it crosses 3rd st in HPP. been trying to find out for a long time how close to my house it is. because if i draw a strait line on a map from one spot i know it is to the ocean entry it's close RE: The Kazumura Lava Tube - Dave Smith - 08-31-2010 There is a relatively new state law that prohibits traveling in lava tubes under another person's property without permission. Few people know about it, and some lava tube tour vendors are in denial about it. RE: The Kazumura Lava Tube - rbakker - 08-31-2010 There's an ocean entry?? Where? RE: The Kazumura Lava Tube - Greg - 08-31-2010 Is this the "Cave of the flying vagina" ? RE: The Kazumura Lava Tube - John-SV - 09-01-2010 I don't know why the Hawaii State Public Library System doesn't have a copy, but the Hawaii Speleological Survey put out a book, "Kazumura Cave atlas : Island of Hawaii : surveyed 1993 through 2000 with compass, inclinometer and tape by the Hawaii Speleological Survey," in 2004. The only place I can find so far that has it is ????Western Kentucky University???? There is a small map from the book at: http://www.cavegraphics.com/Kazumura Atlas Page.html. There is also a map of the Kipuka Kanohino cave system in Ka'u at: http://www.cavegraphics.com/Kanohina3dMap.html. There is also some interesting stats on Kazumura and the other largest lava caves at: http://www.acave.us/llcave.htm. Reality aint what we think it is. (blueroom.com/realityaint.htm) |
