Hard to believe that anyone who has any history in Hawaii would bring up Nukes as even a remote possibility.

To be fair, only the young females need apply here so my friends in Puna and Kapoho area may offer a similar opportunity to the male counterparts allowing for a balanced environment.

Dave, revisiting your idea. Does it have to be bicycles? Is there any reason the technology used to generate electricity from waves couldn't be adapted to water beds?

dugger, Nuclear reactors are widely used in Hawaii, so agree with it or not, bringing it up isn't that far-fetched.

As for your draft status; If you had to pretend to be "psyco", you probably would also have qualified for the "immoral" status as well. I personally have a lot more respect for people that sincerely refused service for ideological reasons(Mohammad Ali, Aaron Watada)than people who hid behind a "psychological" mask for whatever reason.

I assume Greg means nuclear submarines and the like.

If you need details about nuclear reactors in Hawaii, contact the Navy.

I never said war was "moral"; I know it's not because I've been there. I merely said that I had more respect for people that were upfront and honest about their refusal to serve. How I feel isn't something that you can debate or discredit; It's just how I feel. No need to be so defensive, you're too old to serve now and can act "normal".

Good post, Greg. You have helped expose him for what he is.
Another newbie with an agenda.

So are you Mauka or Orchidlandguy?
Another sockpuppet posting, perhaps?

Oh, those reactors sit in the harbors all the time. Doesn't seem to have ever been any issues?

mdd7000, We don't need anyone playing cybercop here. We have been through that before.

Assume the best and ask questions.

"In the event of one of their many breakdowns.."
Please do tell! Places and dates. I think more people have been killed by solar energy than nuclear energy.

Not really my idea originally, so I can't say. But if a peddler produces about 1/3 kw, then I would need 13 or 14 energizers. I could envision them on cycles around my pool but can't imagine where I'd fit that many waterbeds.
