"Well they do and they voted for it in very large numbers."

My oldest brother was a union boilermaker by trade, following in his father and grandfather's footsteps. When he was about 35, after working with the "tools" for 15-20 years, he was promoted to General Foreman.

Both my grandfather and dad gave him this advice:

"YOU are now THEY"

You might have to think about that for a while, but when you get it, it will floor you!

And yes, in this 249-year-old experiment of "America," it will be interesting to see how this chapter plays out.

I just wonder however, what the discussion would be if Hawaii's own Barack Obama was POTUS and was doing the EXACT SAME THINGS.

Perhaps this new poll explains Tulsi's bold move to help create the unity party and her drift away from the far left:

"Liberal women are the least likely to report being fully satisfied with their lives and are far more likely to report feeling lonely often, according to a recently published poll."

"Perhaps this new poll explains Tulsi's bold move..."

Punatang, the linked article you posted is from a conservative right wing think tank known as "The Institute for Family Studies" whose main message is that the husband works, and the wife stays home and makes dinner and babies, ala the "Harrison Butker" mentality.

They are ANTI everything except for heterosexual marriage, with the wife totally subservient to the husband and deeply religious with all publications based upon opinion and very little if any direct scientific research.

They once published what turned out to be an infamously flawed "study" of same-sex parenting, and have direct ties to other such right wing think tanks such as The State Policy Network, The Koch Brothers and The Bradley Foundation and promotes a message with a seething hatred of anyone homosexual going so far to as to once claim Matthew Shepard's death was "deserved" and espouse deeply religious beliefs and have also referenced in various publications they have made about the "good work" Westboro Babtist Church does.

So, while your post and link really does not surprise me in the depravity Tulsi and the "unity party" really are, I am surprised that someone, such as yourself, falls for this garbage.

At any event, did you see the part during Tulsi's swearing in when the big guy himself, after giving a meandering nonsense filled 25-minute speech, just wondered off having to be called back and reminded that he was there to swear Tulsi in?

It was the best part of the whole ordeal!

Tulsi's bold move to help create

When joining the army benefited her circumstance, she went to war.
When caving in to dictators she became antiwar.

She was anti gay, then supportive of gay people when she entered politics.

To get elected in Hawaii she called herself a democrat.
For a position as a talking head on conservative news channels she pretended to be a Democrat that Republicans could love.
To get a high level administration position she presto chango has now seen the conservative light at the end of the tunnel.

She will do anything and say whatever necessary to further her career.

It worked!  Now she's in charge of the morons that weaponized their departments and put her on a watch-list.  I bet they are sleeping well.

Given your great military-adjacent chops, you know that the vast majority of soldiers and their families are by definition "antiwar".

the vast majority of soldiers and their families are by definition "antiwar".

That’s a bit of a generalization isn’t it? Do you consider Pearl Harbor an antiwar facility?
With all of those antiwar soldiers sailors and airmen, how is it we’re involved in so many wars?  And threats of wars in order to take territory covered in glaciers gravel canals and rubble that was formerly homes schools and hospitals?

People say Kamehameha fought the other chiefs to end the constant skirmishes between them.  Seems like there were other motives which better explain his actions.  Like Tulsi’s real motives.  If you hear hoof beats think horses not zebras.

Let's hope Tulsi spends more time analyzing and reporting and ensuring the proper action on the intelligence gathered by the intelligence agencies that can harm Americans far more so than a political tit for tat vendetta over a perceived slight.

Let's hope.

Seeking common ground, it seems like we are both antiwar so you must be as stoked as I am.   Big Grin

Some approaches can be more effective than others.
For instance, there were discussions on Punaweb recently in which everyone believed they were on the side of doing what was right, and legally correct, and best for everyone. And yet it didn’t play out that way.

No idea what you're referencing but I suspect "everyone" might not have really been everyone if it didn't play out the way "everyone" wanted.  In any event I agree 100% that some approaches may be more effective than others.  We are on a roll here.
