RE: Maui GMO protest - Wao nahele kane - 04-22-2014 quote:Uh... does the name "Josef Mengele" ring a bell? If not, here's a link to help you along the way. BTW.. note what camp he "worked" in - http://www.ushmm.org/wlc/en/article.php?ModuleId=10007060 RE: Maui GMO protest - dmbwest - 04-22-2014 He's an ignoRANT ASSumption .. I keep trying to make my point but if no one agrees with or gets it, they must not be as smart as I am. So I need to say it louder and resort to bullying. pog RE: Maui GMO protest - Wao nahele kane - 04-22-2014 Putting square pegs into round holes is about as easy as grafting a pig to a jelly fish in order to accomplish genetic modification. But I get it, some of you are still trying to ram that square peg through the round hole. Good luck with all that. RE: Maui GMO protest - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 04-22-2014 Yes, Dr. Mengele was a physician at Auschwitz, and American doctors performed studies on black syphilis patients. Does that mean we should fear all doctors and ban all medical research? I think consensus is that we need MORE doctors in East Hawaii, not less. RE: Maui GMO protest - PaulW - 04-22-2014 Jungle Man seems to be obsessed with Nazis and equating them with anyone who disagrees with him. Haven't you heard? If you do that on the internet then you automatically lose the argument. You provide a link to a very inconsequential video which is completely unrelated to anything (esp. Puna) and only has a few hits. So, I figured you were an avid youtuber, apologies if I was incorrect. But then again I felt it in my waters and isn't that evidence enough if you reject science? I also thought you were the one recently who said you had completely changed your opinion on something (glyphosate?) after watching a youtube video, but again perhaps I was mistaken. Apologies, I get the anti-science people mixed up, maybe it was O'bob. RE: Maui GMO protest - Wao nahele kane - 04-22-2014 LOL... PaulW, Which do you find stretches the furthest, taffy or bubble gum? Oh crap... Pog! Wow, it's been years. I really missed you. How goes it? RE: Maui GMO protest - Wao nahele kane - 04-23-2014 GM soy was recently mentioned in here. Here's a newly released study - http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0308814613019201 RE: Maui GMO protest - Obie - 04-23-2014 Here is a critical review of that study: http://www.gmosf.org/critical-review-soybean-compositional-differences/ RE: Maui GMO protest - Obie - 04-23-2014 I think it's kind of funny that the big money backers of these protests don't think the local protesters do a good enough job ! They bring people in from the mainland !!! RE: Maui GMO protest - Bullwinkle - 04-24-2014 Looked like a fun easy going event: http://mauinow.com/2014/03/31/maui-anti-gmo-march-comes-ahead-of-petition-deadline/ “This is an event to bring the island of Maui together for the future of the keiki, the #699;#257;ina and the water. What’s going on in Hawai#699;i right now is a real dangerous thing for our future. We have the largest chemical corporations in the world using Hawai#699;i as an experimental test site because of our three seasons. What they see as a numbers game, we see as a life game — it’s money versus life,” said Barca. |
