They're preparing for the "IMF Riots". Lucky we live Puna.

LeeE, do you support Ron Paul too? He thinks your theories are too wacky even for him:
When asked whether "9/11 was orchestrated by the government", Paul responded, "Absolutely not."

The guy is 76 years old. He has no hope of winning this election and it's unlikely he'll be available for the next.
Even the Republicans are shunning him:
The Republican Jewish Coalition elected not to invite Ron Paul to its Dec. 7 forum - which all the other Republican presidential candidates are expected to attend - because it rejects his "misguided and extreme views".

PaulW, Forget what others are saying. Stop listening to the corrupt party drone. Delve deep into your innate intelligence, your heart and ask yourself if what Ron Paul has been trying to say for over 3 decades makes any sense? What does age, color, sex matter? Truth is truth, undeniable.

RE: Attention!!! - PaulW - 12-03-2011

Sorry, his plan to get rid of income tax and replace it with nothing does it for me.
I hope he makes a run as an Independent. Nice guy, but unrealistic. I wish him the best.

RE: Attention!!! - LeeE - 12-03-2011

Paul, You misunderstand. I have no deeply held theories regarding 9/11. I pay attention to factual evidence, expert testimony and credible eyewitness testimony. A criminal investigation into the numerous implausible events surrounding 9/11 would clear things up nicely.

Anyone who watches the video I linked to previously will understand this conversation in it's proper context. It is exactly what it looks like.

I do not agree with Ron Paul on many issues.

However, in my view, there are three things that must be done to restore our nation.

1. End the empire and it's wars, foreign and domestic, while also enacting sound money policies and limits on nonproductive government spending.

2. Take corporate money out of politics.

3. I forget! Does that make me qualified to run for the Presi-puppettency?

Only Dr. Paul will do these things. All the other candidates will not and will certainly keep us on the course outlined by Dick Cheney in his and the former Bush Administrations paper, "Rebuilding America's Defenses".

That is why I support the good doctor. When and if he is able to speak to the American public at length, they will see how he as been smeared by the same corportate media that sold them on non-existent threats and false pretexts for the course of action both parties have the US locked into.

I'll tell you a little story. Years ago, at a party in Los Angeles, I met a gentleman who is among the top tier of our countries leading economic figures. I asked him several questions and was surprised by his candor. Here's the Q & A.

Question: What's holding up the dollar?
Answer: The military.

Question: How would you describe our nations economic system.
Answer: It's a ponzi scheme.

Question: What's you take on currencies in general?
Answer: Currencies are made to be debased, (devalued).

Question: What do you and your peers see for the future of this country?
Answer: A nation with a small group of enormously wealthy people and a huge population of very poor people.

Question: What do you and your peers think about the tax structure.
Answer: Many of us support a maximum allowable wage, with net profits above that (generous) amount going into a public till, to be used for projects that directly benefit the public.

Question: Who do you think carried out the crimes of 9/11.
Answer: I don't want to know.

The top 1% make most of the income, pay less proportionally in taxes compared to the rest of us.
PaulW, yes the wealthy pay say, 35% of the taxes, but make 80% of the income, then 35% is unfair.

RE: Attention!!! - Rob Tucker - 12-03-2011

I have allowed a lot of latitude here and a number of you have managed to tilt this subject in terms of Hawaii and/or Puna. Most have not.

So either keep your observations related to Hawaii/Puna or I will lock the topic up.

Best wishes.

RE: Attention!!! - punaticbychoice - 12-03-2011

Given our Hawaii economy, with it's "legs" of tourism, construction and military spending, what is the impact on Hawaii and Puna with our current economic policies?

RE: Attention!!! - Rob Tucker - 12-03-2011

Good question and any answer requires some thought.

RE: Attention!!! - PaulW - 12-03-2011

"yes the wealthy pay say, 35% of the taxes, but make 80% of the income, then 35% is unfair."

But they don't make 80% of the income. Where did you get that number from?
Hawaii has a greater proportion of the 1% than most states so I think they'd like to know what these Occupy people say is fair if Occupy consider that 1% of the population paying 38% of the income tax isn't enough.
