RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - Punababa - 01-31-2014 Let us assume for the sake of a theory that there may have been some very serious intimidation, that is precisely what the fight on that fateful night may have been about between them. A pregnant lady is always trying to protect the baby and she just did not feel very safe in that hostile environment and also with the impending deal the next day, maybe she was wiser, knew that the deal sucked and not worth the trouble , the lava business was not that lucrative and not a guaranteed success and an organic farm on moonscape was just BS. RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - hikatz - 01-31-2014 Punababa, She was very close to her family, did you not bother to read her Mother's account of the 5 day visit Brittany and Bo spent with the family in May, and how excited Brittany was about their future and plans. They had only been back in Hawaii for 2 weeks. If she was that unhappy, and since they were not married, Brittany could have moved back home! RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - kapohololo - 01-31-2014 not lucrative??? 150 bucks a person, 10-20 guests each night, 7 days a week. do the math bribe u gotta pay is 1000$ a week or 10$ for every guest RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - jackson - 01-31-2014 Do you have any proof of these "bribes?" RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - ssshjar_johnson - 01-31-2014 @ Punababa, I also would agree with Kathy, Anonymouse, Julie, and Brittany herself; she was a tough girl. She was known for traveling the world according to her FB page, her family, and I spoke with her myself of her countless travels. Do you really think if she was that uncomfortable she wouldn't have just up and left, because I believe she would have. She had the knowledge and skills to travel the world round, but couldn't leave Kalapana or her boyfriend for some comfort in California for the duration of the pregnancy? She has a family that would have supported her if she chose to leave Kalapana or Hawaii. Bo was willing to support her through it, as that is obvious. Our family took her and Bo in and gave them a place to stay in Alaska, and they were fully aware that they were welcome any time, any day, any length of time. I am trying to make a point that she wasn't helpless. That goes for the argument that she was concerned for their safety and the potential danger if the land was purchased. Yes, it could have stemmed an argument in another couple, but I think she would have just left. When her and Bo were in Alaska, a good portion of conversation was about the upcoming land purchase and the preparation of the funds. I never saw any dissatisfaction from her. She was just as happy about it as Bo. Bo was interested in an organic crop. However, farming on moonscape was not his plan of execution. Bo was highly skilled in hydroponics. If you could see the work he was capable of, it's beautiful really. He talked about starting a small organic crop with a hydroponics system. He had a hydroponic green house in Illinois that he built himself from scratch. This way he would have no need for brining in a bulldozer and soil. RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - anony_mouse - 01-31-2014 quote: Sure, I was personally asked to pay up once, although I was taking friends on a free trip. Proof? When it comes to illegal bribery? Do you expect me to scan a copy of a notarized contract? Perhaps a convenient link where you can pay the bribe online through the company website? That's not how it works, Jackson, and I wish there was proof to this. Underground marketing such as bribery, extortion, etc is generally designed to provide no paper trail or proof. It's under table, hence the word "bribe" as opposed to "legal fee". As another topic on this forum indicates, it wouldn't be the first time that the "locals" in question have illegally charged people for accessing county land/roads: http://www.punaweb.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=17817 RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - anony_mouse - 01-31-2014 I find it lacking that there is no way to indicate who actually answered Bo's cell phone. At best, investigators would only be able to retract data indicating the call being received, duration of call, ping-tower location, etc. They would not actually have any voice data to perform a voice analysis, as that's illegal to obtain (unless you work for NSA). Technically, all the phone call can prove is that Boaz's phone was answered, but cell phone records cannot indicate who answered it. RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - snorkle - 01-31-2014 If you were leading a group from Arnotts past the County viewing area without permission from the County or the landowners you were trespassing. Before you state that it is public land, please educate yourself to the facts of the situation. If you are going to accuse someone of assault, soliciting a bribe, or any other charge, please have the courage and decency to cite the police report number; and/or offer some kind of proof besides your seemingly biased words. RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - snorkle - 01-31-2014 The way I see it so far; What evidence there is points to a murder/suicide. If any other credible information surfaces, we will find out, and it will have to be from a more reliable source than some bitter, illegal, trespassing tour operator who may have been yelled at by a Hawaiian. RE: Woman's body found off Kalapana - anony_mouse - 01-31-2014 quote: That's not a complete sentence, or either you are missing a couple of commas in places I can't figure out. I honestly can't answer anything pertaining to trespassing on a hostel in Hilo, if that was the question. quote: Before you question this forum when it comes to land ownership, please provide a tax map key that states a certain family/individual/tour company legally owns 900 acres of the land used by people to access the former ocean entry lava flow. You don't have that proof because it was a complete lie. It's a lie using "sovereign rights" for the sake of illegal bribery and extortion. quote: Consider me one of the 65% of percent of local citizens that don't trust contacting police or the integrity of police investigating a local crime in my area. |
