airportparking ranted:

"PUNAweb, yeah, no matter how far away and off from Puna, just keep "thread" ****ing in Mauna Kea every post then you good right ?

I bet Rob would love to have a nice cross section of REAL, local residents talking story here rather than a few entitled bullies dominating every post.

Alas, Punaweb is what it is.

Immediate ETA ... Sorry Rob did not know w123ing word was on some kind of filter list. Will never happen again."

"Punaweb's forums are provided as a community service and all topics and posts are required to be about or concerned with life in Hawaii and Puna."

You do realise that option is also available to you, don't you?

Edited to fix a typo.

"Ranted" is TomK's delusional projection that he frosts onto anyone who does make tea the same as him.

That's possibly the strangest thing anyone has ever said about me. Utterly bizarre.

Looking forward to the thread about working as an illegal valet but in the meantime I'll enjoy news of the awesome science being done just up the hill from us. Thanks, Tom.
Ignore the troll.

PaulK swoops in just after TomW

In an extensive study involving astronomers and observatory staff on the Island of Hawaii, Dr Parkplatz has recently published a paper on the possibility that alien life exists in Hawaii.

"It was hard to believe at first" she said, "but we can't rule out the possibility".

The possibility came about because of strange communications from a being on the Big Island. "No one was able to make sense of them until a meta-study was performed. It seems we're seeing a new form of life but we can't rule out other possibilities".

Others are more skeptical.

"Sounds like a drunk dude to me" said Dr Kanubauer. Mr Offiziersbursche said "just wait until he starts quoting Batman, then you'll know he's crazy. Or an alien."

Others have pointed out that it's likely a particularly stupid troll has been discovered, but as Dr Betrunken has pointed out, "Laterz dude or I'll frost onto you.".

Betrunken's attorney and doctor have not responded to requests for comments.
