RE: The Bicker Board - HiloJulie - 10-09-2026 TANGY PROUDLY SAYS When we Tangs get our new line of cat's paw O'o bars forged at scale, we will be moving on up - out of Puna. Honoka'a here we come. I always knew you Tang's were proud, resourceful, hardworking and enterprising Americans that everyone SHOULD aspire to be! I am certain that your new line of Hawaii cat's paw O'o bars will be made with the finest forged US Steel, using high skilled high paid American Union Steel Workers, versus using that cheap imported foreign steel, of which I also have no doubt that if the financial benefits of using the foreign steel outweigh the better, but pricier American made steel, and Tang Enterprises, LLC has to resort to using imported foreign steel that has had steep tariffs put on it, out of your spirit of love of your fellow Puna and Hawaiian brethren, that you would gladly cover those extra tariff costs and not consider passing them down to your loyal Hawaii customer base! Welcome back Tang! - Hope you enjoyed the Hawks game, or was it the Hawkeyes game you went off to see the last week or so? And good luck on the move to Honoka'a. Puna's gain can be their loss! That neighborhood has changed very little in 3 decades. Nevertheless, his neighbor had their truck stolen out of their yard in broad daylight a few years back. While the owner was home, no less. And someone tried to steal his 4wheeler earlier this year. Of course, no water or sewer utilities are available there. They just got internet a couple years ago. RE: The Bicker Board - Punatang - 10-09-2026 Obie, do you think we can get Ferlin to put these on all of the stools? Cat's Paw Chair Socks RE: The Bicker Board - HiloJulie - 10-09-2026 DF SAYS Nevertheless, his neighbor had their truck stolen out of their yard in broad daylight a few years back. While the owner was home, no less. And someone tried to steal his 4wheeler earlier this year. Of course, no water or sewer utilities are available there. They just got internet a couple years ago. So, his house was robbed and his 4-wheeler was almost stolen because there are no water or sewer utilities available and he just recently got internet? I'd say the guy you have apparently become the spokesman and representative for, would call that a "straw man" argument to say the least. RE: The Bicker Board - Durian Fiend - 10-09-2026 (10-09-2026, 05:17 PM)HiloJulie Wrote: DF SAYS His neighbor's house was robbed. My points were: 1. Property crime is common in his neighborhood too. Puna has high rates of these crimes, in case you weren't aware. 2. Even though it's a relatively "upscale" location in Puna, basic utilities are lacking. RE: The Bicker Board - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 10-09-2026 would call that a "straw man" argument Isn’t he just setting the scene? All the attributes of the neighborhood, for tax dollars contributed? RE: The Bicker Board - HiloJulie - 10-09-2026 HOTPE SAYS Isn’t he just setting the scene? All the attributes of the neighborhood, for tax dollars contributed? That could be. But considering that dozens of multi-million-dollar homes of famous celebrities in Beverly Hills, Malibu, Bel Air, Hollywood Hills etc., have been robbed and vandalized, quite often while the owner is in the house, all with an abundant amount of paved roads, underground utilities and lighting fast fiber optic internet, while paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in property taxes, I don't see any connection. Substandard housing, low income earners, geographic isolation, lack of services and infrastructure. Puna checks a lot of boxes. And yet, it remains a pretty good place to live for the time being. RE: The Bicker Board - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 10-09-2026 I don't see any connection. In LA you get usable services along with robberies? In Puna you get county workers in addition to your robberies? RE: The Bicker Board - HiloJulie - 10-09-2026 But you still get robbed. |
