RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - kalakoa - 07-17-2019 don't believe she can legally Apparently "rule of law" is irrelevant if you wish to do otherwise. Pardon me while I run out to the store and "protest" some 12-packs into my car. RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - leilanidude - 07-17-2019 Police told her they would tow her car with her in it, but Barnett said she does not believe they can legally do so. --------- But they can yank her out and arrest her for refusing a valid police order, then tow the vehicle... RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - dan d - 07-17-2019 Incident: Road Closure Message This is a Civil Defense Road Closure message for Wednesday, July 17 at 12:30 in the afternoon. Hawai'i County Civil Defense advises that for safety reasons, the Daniel K. Inouye Highway, also known as the Saddle Road, is closed until further notice. The road closure on the Daniel K. Inouye Highway on the West Side is: Off Mamalahoa Highway at Mile Marker 42, local traffic only to Waikii. All other traffic should avoid the area. On the East Side, the closure is: At Mile Marker 11, above Kaumana Drive. It is not known how long the Daniel K. Inouye Highway closure will last. Your patience during this time is very much appreciated. You will be immediately informed when conditions change. Thank you very much for listening. Have a safe day. HPP RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - dan d - 07-17-2019 Hope none of u need to do an emergency run to kona. Ige will hold a live press conference at 3:30 today 7/17. Check HNN for coverage? https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com Anyone have a confirmed source to watch? https://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/live/ Emergency proclamation signed. Will give law enforcement “additional tools” when dealing with “protestors illegally blocking roads.” RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - kalakoa - 07-17-2019 https://www.hawaiitribune-herald.com/2019/07/17/hawaii-news/police-begin-arresting-kupuna-who-are-protesting-tmt/ UPDATED 2: 51 p.m. The highway has been reopened, according to police. RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - kalakoa - 07-17-2019 Ige issues emergency proclamation. RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - dan d - 07-17-2019 All overtime now paid by lava fund Yahoo Good job harry HPP RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - kalakoa - 07-17-2019 Now I'm wondering if an emergency proclamation was the end-game all along. Anyone else notice that the protestors were arrested by DOCARE, because HPD doesn't have clear jurisdiction? An emergency takes care of little details like that... RE: TMT construction begins Monday 15 July - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 07-17-2019 Hopefully the protestors will heed the Emergency Proclamation, otherwise rumor ihas it they’ll be put on Double Secret Probation: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eUUzA56zG2U |
