How about if everyone tries to adopt an "assume the best and ask questions" approach to things?

Assume the best and ask questions.

KJ, I never heard that expression ever before. I'm older, and not that much of a prude. Apologies, if read inaccurately. Not well versed on that kind of lingo.

E kala mai.

Back to topic, still watching the OHA meeting re: TMT, and Mailani (the student who started the petition for TMT) spoke VERY well and has a very bright future. Poor thing got a little nervous, but her message delivery was strong.

dakine, we are in times of great change, and these keiki are so akamai! The oldsters like Ritte and Kanahele ((and some of us...lol.), are seeing a new way of communication, versus the days of Kaho'olawe and the like.

Kapu aloha. Aloha aina. Discussion with respect. Balance.

Basics.

Enjoy.

For those interested, Insights on PBS Hawaii is on tonight at 8pm. Panel discussion on whether the TMT should be built.

"But I do believe this is not a matter for popular vote, and if any Negro is uncomfortable with that they should just shut up. And if it makes them uncomfortable they can always go back to wherever they came from...."

"But I do believe this is not a matter for popular vote, and if any Jew is uncomfortable with that they should just shut up. And if it makes them uncomfortable they can always go back to wherever they came from...."

Sorry, what was the "spirit in which it was written", again?

The debate shown on PBS can be seen from the link I gave above, i.e., http://pbshawaii.org/insights-on-pbs-hawaii-should-astronomy-related-development-on-mauna-kea-continue/

It was very civil but am afraid one or two important points never came up for discussion. On the other hand, I learned one or two things. The hacking and denial of service attempts by Anonymous seems to be supported by Pisciotta, and I was surprised to find out the Joint Astronomy Centre was given to Lockheed Martin.

" the Joint Astronomy Centre was given to Lockheed Martin."
Dang it Tom, now I gotta wachit !

Have a peaceful, un-threatening, weekend.

aloha,
pog

The Lockheed Martin claim starts at about the 32:40 mark.
