Dozed and not one, but two sets of plans! Someone here said they had a great experience with Argus. I remember when he broke off from that other building supplier back in that same area where he is. He survived and they didn't. What's with all of this punting? Is this normal and I'm just noticing it? Seems like a lot of changes of plans in a very short time for just one subdivision... https://www.alohaliving.com/search/details/?page=1&ipp=10&idxid=HawaiiInformationService&pageid=results&querysrc=searchform&searchstyle=searchform&island=3®ion=Puna&subdivision=HAWAIIAN+PARADISE+PARK&street=&zipcode=&form=&tenure=&ssreopf=any&contingent=&minprice=0&minyrblt=0&minbeds=0&maxprice=9999999999999&maxyrblt=99999&maxbeds=999&minbaths=0&minarea=0&minland=0&maxbaths=999&maxarea=0&maxland=99999999&oceanfront=&view=&remarks=&sorttype=changed&sortdir=desc&resultview=list&locationchanged=1&linkmlsnum=711775 RE: There are now 26 brand new homes for sale in HPP. - Midnight Rambler - 07-01-2024 (06-24-2024, 10:51 PM)Punatang Wrote: What's with all of this punting? Is it more complicated than "these crappy houses they build aren't selling at the inflated prices they're listing them for, so they're trying to unload the land before pouring more into it"? Here is a Wall Street Journal article that is available to everyone. It’s Home-Building Season, but No One Is Buying Lumber https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/it-s-home-building-season-but-no-one-is-buying-lumber/ar-BB1p9juQ RE: There are now 26 brand new homes for sale in HPP. - Midnight Rambler - 07-01-2024 Good, maybe this means I can finally get some work done on my house instead of being told by everyone that they're booked up for the next two years. RE: There are now 26 brand new homes for sale in HPP. - kalianna - 07-01-2024 Some friend had their house tented for termites last year. There was a six month wait. I called the same company a couple weeks ago. Thereʻs now a two month wait. RE: There are now 24 brand new homes for sale in HPP. - Durian Fiend - 07-03-2024 Speaking of termites, a friend of mine living in HPP told me today that his house is infested with ground termites. Yikes! I didn't know they were to be found anywhere in Puna. This is very bad news for him and potentially others in area because they are more destructive than the ones we're familiar with. Someone must have unwittingly brought them in from Hamakua. RE: There are now 24 brand new homes for sale in HPP. - kalianna - 07-03-2024 Yes, that. We had tens of thousands streaming in where our screens met our frames. Still finding wings and worms. Iʻd never seen them before either. It was like an Alfred Hitchcock movie. Our nextdoor neighbor had none. RE: There are now 24 brand new homes for sale in HPP. - HereOnThePrimalEdge - 07-03-2024 thousands streaming in They’re attracted to light. You can turn off the lights, or if you don’t want to sit in the dark place a light above (not in) a tub of water and watch them fall and drown. Add a drop or two of soap to the water to lower the surface tension. Makes it harder for them to float. |
