The pride of Alaska - This past year an affluent man in his early 80's was arrested on child pornography charges. This man was on the school board, borough council, was borough mayor and city mayor! He was active in community theater, the STAR of many of the productions, and a prominent local "jokester". He attended most school sporting events and had access and trust of EVERYONE when it came to the children of the community. Some of the porno content discovered showed an ongoing long term offender
How this man was never discovered during his over 40 years of prominence in our community is a testament to his acting ability! Lifetime friends and neighbors of this man could not believe the charges and thought that it was a set up or someone else who had access to the computer - until evidence was actual footage of this man offending against a child less than 10 yrs old! What a sham was played on this entire community by this man! TRUST NO ONE! Unfortunate but true...

Thats why I chose the Mc Martin - it was a Salem Witch Trial... speaks to our culture, many lives destroyed (Edit: Society / Adult relationships with children for ever changed) so the DA could get his / her 15 minutes of fame
Yet there is no denying - molestion occus a whole lot more than reported....
sad - some really twisted folks out there ...... some that got into grief and hiding out here as well... its a numbers game
