Here's a remarkable fact I stumbled across about tigers... authorities say there are approximately 7,000 tigers today in Texas, more than live in the wild in India.

How many 1-acre-per-tiger zoo enclosures are there in the world with a climate that matches what tigers need? I hope the zoo will be able to rescue a tiger from a horrible environment and let it live it's life in the Hilo zoo.

I was very sorry to hear this. It's a fine zoo. He had a nice place to live out the last years of his life. I got to see him 4-5 times and always enjoyed it.
