Jerry born and raised in West Central Texas. New Orleans area 1978-86, Atlanta 1986-2005. First came to Hawaii in 2001, bought property 2002, moved permanently 2005.
Bear born Mississippi, Army brat all over the world to 1965. Huntsville, AL 1965-1992, Atlanta 1992-2005. We met in 1990, and he told me about how much he liked his dad's tour of duty at Schofield. Made that 2001 trip with me, and we knew what we had to do.

I was born and raised in Michigan, moved to Maui in 1993 then moved to the Big Island in 2003. Best move we ever made. I, too grew up in rural America and find a lot of similiarities in ideology from where I grew up. I think that's why I mesh so well here. Plus our road in Mountain is all cow pastures.

Born in Van Nuys,Ca in the Beautiful San Fernando Valley. Grew up in Sylmar then moved to Frazier Park, then to Burbank, then to Palmdale then in 1991 my job took me to the island of Cyprus for 13 yrs, then moved to Puna in 2004. Planning to move to Phoenix, Az as soon as we can sell our home here.

Grew up mostly in Colorado, then after finally completing college, moved to Alabama. I lived there for 10 years before moving here in 2000.

Born and raised in Salem, Oregon. Love the Pacific NW. Wife loves Hawaii (we do what we have to do). Worked for the State of Oregon for thirty years, beginning at age eighteen. Took three years "off" to learn about serving the Country. Retired on investments a week after turning 49 and moved for a short time down to Ivins, Utah, near Las Vegas. Too hot / too cold. Love the culture here = hate there's no waterfowl hunting and/or stream trout, steelhead fishing.

Born in Portland, Oregon, Tho' mostly raised in Claskanie Oregon... Honolulu (16 years), Maui (3 years), back to Portland, Columbia city, Portland, Eugene, Walla Walla WA, Cascade Locks, Now on the Big Island for almost a year now.
Unlike Brad, my wife doesn't like it here... So.. Maybe going back but who knows.

I was born and raised in Connecticut...Had the same job for 20 years(and I'm ready to get out of the business!)...I'm married to Lotus(5 years! wow!)...played guitar and bass with many local bands in the New Haven area. We are actively looking to make the BI our home very soon.
