oneself, you have plenty of water but your electric pump might not be available to get it to your house for you...

Oneself, also the UV will not work w/o power...so you have water in your tank, but may not have potable water...

Hawaii bound, have you looked at the new Sunny Boy secure power SMA inverter for grid-tie... That is one of the things we want if we ever get the PV lanai before HELCO fills up their quota in our area... Of course, no matter what solar PV system you have, you will not get electricity if the sun don't shine!

Added: Yesterdays SST map of Central Pac shows the ocean surface temps are also getting up there...

Keeping a thought and prayers for safe passage through this storm for everyone in it's path!

They expect the storm to strengthen slightly and then weaken dramatically. Puna may be dead center for the storm...but at this point it looks like alot of rain and humidity.

Just what we need, more rain and humidity.

Carey I have not but it is on my Google search list in the morning to see what it is - LOL.

OK, curiosity got the better of me and I decided to take a look tonight. It looks pretty interesting but a lot pricier than what I currently installed (Generator and flip switch). However, it doesn't require gasoline so in a true emergency situation such as a hurricane where we will be on our own for at least 90 days it looks like a good solution. I am going to do a litter more research in the coming day. Thanks for the suggestion.
