Would have been nice if they got the highway work done before the highway gets blocked by the lava flow.
Anyone know if the new 4 lane paved section is going to have nice, wide paved shoulders on both sides? It doesn't look like it's going to be wide enough for 4 lanes and 2 wide shoulders.

Too bad that widening/fixing 130 hasn't been upgraded to a priority. They could work nights/weekends.

he county council is starting to reprogramming funds but this council ends in December.
Highway 130 is a State road over which County has no authority, monetary or otherwise.

Again, read the news, pay attention to the funding reprogramming. Quite frankly, it was probably a waste of time responding since you are sounding more and more like somebody that doesn't even live here. Nobody can drone on and on about development/non-development for years and still make the mistakes you do with locations. It is almost like you derive what you know around here from reading messages and the references they link.

Really? State is funding RR after County redirected the park resources *and* authorized another $20M bond?
Perhaps I'm confused, but it seems like there's lots of extra dollars leaking out the side of this emergency, hopefully they'll be accounted for at some point.

Doubtful! Bureaucrats may rise to just beyond their levels of incompetence but part of what allows them to rise is the ability to obfuscate.
