RE: Looking for fiberglass pool - dmbwest - 04-23-2015 Hi Carey, I've checked that one out too ... Its pretty cool.. Here is a little more info on what I was talking about ... An in ground liner pool is sort of a Hybrid. http://www.riverpoolsandspas.com/blog/bid/23201/Fiberglass-Pools-vs-Vinyl-Liner-Pools-vs-Concrete-Pools-An-Honest-Comparison aloha, pog RE: Looking for fiberglass pool - Carey - 04-23-2015 I have been dreaming of having another pool since moving here... In the Chitown area I had a Stainless Steel "lap lane" (actually had to move here to find out what it was initially...a cheese vat - but here they are tofu vats) Have seen some wonderful gunite pools, esp by a punaweb member, have seen above ground liner with deck, have seen partial buried & fully buried liner pools, have seen concrete block with liner lap lanes, have seen lava tube pools....have seen fiberglass that held up for at least a decade... I have lots of ideas...but have yet to justify the cost (our SS pool was cheaper than the scrap...the old owner thought it was a bad cast iron horse trough...) So if anyone knows of an on-island cheese/tofu vat that no one wants... RE: Looking for fiberglass pool - EightFingers - 04-26-2015 Pot, I know someone who has one and they didn't have it done right and it looks pretty bad. I'm not telling them tho' .... RE: Looking for fiberglass pool - dmbwest - 04-28-2015 It's entirely possible to make a fiberglass fishpond / pool directly on or using what ever contour / puka you want. It would not be hard to make a wood / glass swim 'trough' if you wanted Carey ! : ) aloha, pog |
