For only $99, I will also launch a vial of your cremated remains into space

Considering earth is but a "pale blue dot" in the vastness of space, a bottle rocket should do the trick!

That would eat into my profit margin. I'm thinking: catapult.

The first data from closest approach have come back and I think there are going to be quite a few surprises. First one for me is how the surface is relatively free of craters which suggests the surface is being continuously regenerated. Ice mountains the size of mountains in the Rockies and a huge chasm on Charon are new results as well.

The New Horizons NASA home page is here but I'm having trouble getting there:

https://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/newhorizons/main/index.html

CNN has some images:

http://www.cnn.com/2015/07/15/us/nasa-new-horizons-pluto-flyby/

It looks as though most of the data won't come through for a couple of weeks as the probe is still taking data of the far side of Pluto. I suspect this means the probe is being orientated in such a way the antenna isn't pointing towards the Earth.

My most heartfelt congratulations to the entire community that against all odds accomplished this historic feat. And a special remembrance to the humble gentleman, who pointed the way: Mr. Clyde Tombaugh.

Thank you to the scientists and engineers who made this modern-day type of miracle possible. Never thought I would live long enough to see Pluto...much less on a computer I can look at in my bed Smile

Just for fun, what Plutonians and other space aliens are currently hearing from Earth:
