"insecticide", "herbicide", "rodenticide", "fungicide", "nematicide" -- all are "pesticides", for pests... insects, weeds, rodents, fungi, nematodes.

Glyphosate inhibits the shikimic acid metabolic pathway. This is a matabolic pathway found in plants and aome microorganisms, but not in mammals.

Roundup is the safest herbicide out there.... period!
its used in very sensitive environments to kill invasives all over the World
and we all know humans are too lazy to actually pull a weed...
the only problem with Roundup is it works too good... it only kills the plant it touches, a seedling can grow in the same soil the next day... so new weeds will resprout days later.. unlike the 'moonscape' type of herbicides that kill weeds and new sprouts for many months... or pseudo enviro idiots that use vinegar/sugar/salt etc to kill weeds, they contaminate the soil for months/years.. just like bleach, gasoline, etc. would

save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha

The IARC classified Glyphosate as probably a cause of cancer in humans.
They also list these two things as 2A,
Shiftwork that involves circadian disruption
Hairdresser or barber (occupational exposure as a)
Shouldn't these be banned too ?

Of course, a "ban" is not what is proposed.
Rather, that the County be responsible in its own operations and find a way through a period of adjustment to quit buying and using in public places on County property particular materials that probably cause cancer.
Should one choose to be a barber/hair stylist, they make that choice (btw: my own sister, a hair stylist, died of breast cancer at age 37).
Likewise, working shifts is an individual decision.
However, avoiding park grounds, walkways, roadsides, drift, etc. sprayed by someone else (e.g., county workers) is not as readily done, especially for children.
