I expect eventually, this will go to the SCOTUS. They will decide if it's constitutional or not. That's what we pay them for.

Yeah Pog is on the cusp of spamming us. If he keeps it up he may be gone too.

80% of Hawaii's tourists come from Overseas or the states West of the Rockies.
I would opine that this has enhanced Hawaii's reputation instead of hurting it.

The muslim population in Hawaii is ~1%. The percentage of tourists who are from the 6 countries is likely less than 1%. Why is this even an issue for this state? Do we really have nothing else to do than continue to rehash the last election?

RE: Opinion: Blocking Travel Ban. - Rob Tucker - 03-16-2017

Joe, everyone is entitled to make a suit in court. Even in Hawaii. What happens there is up to the courts.

What does Hawaii know about being attacked? Indeed.

I agree with this - percentage though is probably closer to 0.1%. It is a grandstanding political move advanced by our Hawaii legislators. It is NOT about losing tourism dollars.

Rob, I have been a member here for I think over 10 years now ... I put up an opinion on a topic that effects ( "intersection between national politics and Hawaii" )Puna and our entire state as a whole with some reading information from one of the, if not the highest ranking news websites on the planet.

This is REAL, in the news and happening right now.
How is that spam ?

RE: Opinion: Blocking Travel Ban. - dmbwest - 03-16-2017

That's true LD, the smaller the percentage, the greater the loss from everyone else who is now pissed @ the judge.

Still makes it easier to let the bad ones in so ANY percentage is bad.

"one of the, if not the highest ranking news websites on the planet"

This is a joke, right?
