How secure are the parked aircraft at Hilo airport?
Think of the social media hysteria that would stir up!

What can we say about the mental ability of someone that would steal a bus on an island?

I wonder if any of the judges' (who are letting these thugs off) cars ever get stolen.....
RE: Stolen Hele-On Bus Recovered On Puna Highway - My 2 cents - 08-08-2017
The perp's name is Nakamura, so.....

How dare you disrespect one of our law enforcement officials? Shameful.

"The perp's name is Nakamura, so...."
Twelve hours of court-ordered driver education on buses should do it.

I pointed out a correlation. Nakamura is a big name around here. Perhaps I was a bit hasty in suggesting that there might be a relationship. There must be other reasons why "these thugs" are continuously let off. I'll even go so far as to point out that it wasn't Judge Nakamura who has let this one out w/o bail.

My 2 cents - I just thought you were posting a joke at the expense of the judge. Nothing wrong with that and nothing wrong with supporting the general opinion that Judge Nakamura sentences criminals to extremely light sentences. I believe people here are free to express their opinions about judges and didn't think you needed to justify it. Many places vote for their judges which means the public are free to hold and express their opinions. Don't see why that should be different here.

There's so many realistic video games out there where you can rob, murder, steal cars and trucks busses planes and more. Maybe that desensitizes the harsh reality of the crime? Eventually nuts will play those games and get inspired.
People who can't turn off that voice impelling them to just take the bus or ambulance or whatever. People who skipped their meds. It's just a matter of percentages. Given a group of people, some will be insane. More people equals more crazy people too. When you're homeless and crazy, getting picked up by the cops and put in a dry place and fed daily after joyriding in a stolen bus doesn't sound like that bad of an option. Maybe an exciting night.
