We loved the clear skies the other evening......the Milky Way was spectacular!!! This weather is odd, tho. It is sooo muggy, with very little breeze and yes, the torrential downpours are a surprise. I just checked Big. Is. Now weather forecast and the the high temps predicted for Keaau this week are also a surprise!!! High of 96 tomorrow???? Reaching into the 90's each day at least thru Sat..... oh boy!

That has to be a glitch, the temperatures for Hilo are much more realistic.

RE: torrential downpours - bluesboy - 08-22-2017

this was all due to the remnants of a tropical system passing over us. hence the excessive moisture, flash flooding and mugginess.

things should start to dry out starting tomorrow (Wednesday)

Couldn't figure out what everyone was talking about till I put new batteries in my weather station. Wondered why I was getting wet every time I went outside.

But yes had some pretty stiff rains here in Eden Roc.
