Peter, you haven't disputed or refuted the truth of anything I said in my last post that provoked your response of "Paranoid whining, often flavored with racism or parochialism . . . " I am active in my community, vote, attend events, discuss things with my neighbors, and participate in Punaweb. I have suggested solutions through all those venues for what I see as problems. It is my right to point out things that need to be improved, just as it is your right to point out those you like.

See recent posts about murders in Leilani and Orchidland... some may paint a grim picture on punaweb, but it's not just paranoia or parochialism... people are being assaulted on their own property, held hostage and burnt alive these days. Puna is no paradise. I wonder what Tulsi or any of the other politicians mentioned above are doing to address these issues.

Most of the worst crimes in Puna, physical assault, hostage taking, auto or truck immolation, are between family members, "friends" or acquaintances. Keep good company and you'll do a great deal to reduce your chance of attack to that of a statistically small random occurrence.
