RE: Acid Rain - ElysianWort - 05-10-2018 I have noticed that adding baking soda to the tank, gives the water a "slippery" feel. I remember from chemistry class that the slippery feel is a characteristic of bases, not acid. Therefore, my theory is: my water is now alkaline.
