RE: Adapting housing to lava flows and SO2 - Hotzcatz - 05-20-2018 The building and land use codes now allow mobile homes and mobile home parks, although I forget the particulars at the moment. I think it was in Chapter 25 of the HRS, but I could be wrong about that. I do remember reading that they were now an allowable use on some lands, although I forget which ones. I was looking up some other code at the time and came across it. But, mobile homes are now allowed in Hawaii. They had been illegal for many years, but now they're allowed. Can't quote the code right at the moment, though. Kurt Wilson RE: Adapting housing to lava flows and SO2 - punaticbychoice - 05-21-2018 HOTPE @ 13:11:51 05/18/2018- Good points. Hotzcatz @ 23:34:09 05/20/2018- More information would be good- but as always even if that is in HRS, it will have to be forced by the public who benefit- and then there is the language and interpretation and bureaucracy that does the interpretation. Never forget, we are all here to serve our masters, the local and State bureaucracies. "An cynic is an optimist with experience" |
