Why not?
I'm on choke forums and different sites.
Each place you visit can serve different purposes. Maybe two people from Punaweb want to talk about National Politics in a "Real Time" discussion.... Well PW certainly wouldn't be the place for that.
Chat rooms have many different purposes. The thing I don't like about most of them...is that once you have said something... it's gone after a while.

Les and all... the chat room has only been open for about 48 hours. I am talking it up to give people an awareness that they can talk real time on any subject. For example, national politics is not an appropriate subject for punaweb (as determined by the host and moderator of the web page) but it's fine in the chat room.
What I like about the chat room is that things aren't written down for all time; it is like a cafe discussion over coffee or a beer; just expressing ideas of the moment. More importantly it's a good chance to have a quick question and answer discussion. Lastly, it is meant to just be fun.
As for the other chat rooms yes they too are unmonitored and uncensored. This is definitely not a place for kids, but then Punaweb does not cater to children anyway.... and the page is NOT SPONSORED by Punaweb or Rob or anything else...just me.
That all said, if you want to stop by, that is cool. I think over time patterns will emerge and maybe even posts will go up saying "if anyone can talk about growing coffee, I will be int he chatroom from 7 to 8 tonight" or something like that. It's just another fun communmication tool for those who don't hit the outside world as much. Saves gas!!!

Well I had a live chat this morning and it was fun!. I believe when we have a subject here that is too hot to handle, if anyone wants to discuss it further it would be a tool! So I signed on and am hoping to catch up with a few of you there. Perhaps we can have a am coffee chat, or an evening chat over an adult beverage! I'll send over some pics later this eve. Thanks Pam for yet another venue! My firewalls, hubby is an advocate!, don't seem to mind the spot, go figure!

PS for a poster with us 4 months and having 1275 posts or an average of 10 per day, I'd call that gabby! LOL So why complain or obfuscate a good thing? I think this site will help save some PW bandwidth, while we chat about the non consequential.

Another Improvement to the room... I have managed to get rid of the button to view other rooms.
Hopefully others can't see us... we certainly can't see them.

I removed the other threads on here regarding the other gabbly room so there wouldn't be confusion. I'm glad you got rid of that other button to view other rooms... some of those rooms were quite ...how do I say it.... um... strange?

Another update to the live chat page:
There are two photo albums up; one generic of me with a lamb and my new puppy. I will update that with Lamont Ranch photos when I ger around ot it. Album #2 is much ore interesting. There are a few photos of the Thai Project House. Lumber began arriving this week and the floor is going in as well as walls being framed. Wooo Hooooo!!! Check it out.

when the page comes up you have to drag down a little bit and there will be a place for you to enter your name and hit return
Once you are in the room, the dialogue box is at the bottom of the box where everyone's entries show up.
