Last 1660' of AInaloa is definitely a public road (on County-owned land, no less), so theoretically "eligible" for removal as funded by the vehicle registration surcharge.

Note the similarity here -- County takes your money for a necessary public health/safety issue, but can't be bothered to provide the service (that we paid for).

went to Nanawale at 1:30 today and the car was there with AV in tape in the window. Came back by a 2:30 and it was gone... Like "Magic"!! LOL

It doesn't cost much to get it towed to the nearest county road and abandoned there for the county to pay for removal.

Probably some manner of "Illegal dumping". In the case of HPP, they're too busy doing whatever isn't paving their roads (that they paid for).
Now, for Hawaiian Acres, I'm thinking drag the burned hulks out to each corner, they would make lovely road signs, especially since nobody would steal them.

Royall, we were heading to HSRE on HWY 130 & saw the tireless red car on a lift truck heading to Hilo.... kinda felt sad I missed the infamous red car
on the side of the road!
