RE: Lava PTSD - AaronM - 12-09-2021

I came across my access placard yesterday and have been enjoying a night of insomnia as a result. It's a wonder how a few days can seem like months.

Lava come down soft and hot
You better lava me now or lava me not

It only shows that people can't remember history:
Kapoho 1960 eruption:

From about 8 minutes and on: https://www.hawaiimagazine.com/video-historic-1960-kilauea-volcano-eruption-at-kapoho-hawaii-island/ ; it shows heavy equipment trying to turn the lava flow with little to no effect.
Nothings changed.
EDIT:
As one who has spent much of his life as an adrenaline junkie, I have little pity for, police, firefighters, and  anyone that purposely injects risks into their lives.
They do it for fun even though it usually is hard work and sometimes gets out of hand.
Could you please clarify what you mean by 'purposely injects risk into their lives' in regards to police and firefighters?

Dangerous jobs. You take them knowing there's going to be risk, and you get something out of that.

Sometimes what is gotten out of it is the satisfaction or awe at saving lives, not necessarily a cheap thrill.  Not all police or firemen are adrenaline junkies.

I think I will frame mine. It still has the scent of volcano on it.
