Not one word of empathy for the folks who have lost their homes

What?  All I said was they were unable to predict the future, and left it there.  But if you needed a continuing story then I do feel sorry for them, and hope they’re not homeless, and I suppose also that they didn’t get divorced from the stress, or have their car repossessed.

the housing market to collapse is what allowed me to buy 3 foreclosed homes in 2009

The housing market collapse also allowed those 3 homes to be foreclosed, because the homeowners couldn’t forecast the downturn.
Not one word of empathy for the folks who have lost their homes, and are possibly homeless now.
You are definitely a republican. Not a drop of Aloha in either of your statements.

As someone who spent over 3 years homeless, sleeping on the concrete and eating crumbs, I have more than enough empathy for people who are currently homeless.

As someone who lost his 'forever home' to the 2018 eruption, I have more than enough empathy for "folks who have lost their homes"

As far as your hypocritical attempt to use Aloha as a bludgeon while further dividing our nation along party battle lines, I can't do anything for you about that.

Classic hijack.  The last 6 posts have nothing to do with that new store open.  Was hoping to see some reviews.

I stopped in there the other day.  It was busy.  Very much like taking a quick time warp to Japan and hitting a local discount store.  Rather smartly all the merchandise is priced in Japanese yen.  There are cards posted to translate to US dollars.  Minimum price is $1.50.  Jammed with stuff to buy. Seriously stocked.  No passport needed.

It was fun and interesting.  I bought a few things of course.

My one word review: Yuck. The store was jammed and most of the stuff looked cheaply made and was completely uninteresting to me. I saw the yen to dollars conversion chart but I didn't feel like reading it. I was going to get a couple bowls but the line was too long so we just left and I have no desire to go back. Very disappointing.

"As a fourth generation Kamaaina Company" I wonder if that the Japanese department store I went to in Honolulu some 47 years ago. I bought a small cooks knife I still have. I think I only went there a couple of times.

We tried to check it out on Wednesday but there was no parking anywhere and the line to get in was out of the store. We'll just wait and check out Dollar Tree when we fly to Portland next month to get our discount store fix.

Dollar tree is now $1.25 per item.
