As to that 'study' I don't know if it was a research paper or just a community service, and never saw anything published from it. It was right after Halemaumau started erupting and the community was freaked by VOG on Kona winds days. Remember when CD was closing the highway and all that drama..?
In my memory there was just geochem and some help collecting samples at the Copper Center and returning results so many days later. Although he did tell me personally that mine was the lowest results he ever got..
Maybe call CSAV and ask them?
Scientists assume that when someone makes a claim involving scientific data, they have something to back it up. This is why I asked MyManao for a report that backs up his claim. Scientists often make assumptions; you need one to make a hypothesis, which can then be tested. So I made an assumption, it turns out you have no data to back up your claim so my assumption was wrong. That's pretty much how the scientific method works. And no, I'm not going to call CSAV. You made the claim; you back it up. I'm not going to do the work for you.
