RE: Utilities - loffelkopffl - 03-30-2006 i recently did my sister in law's , put up and wired the main meter box and strung the wire to the house(two poles)and hooked it up, also hooked up the box to the two ground rods, one 12" from pole, the other 6 ft from the first. of course had to have an electrician pull the permit for the house. aloha RE: Utilities - msurf - 04-03-2006 Aloha, Are underground electric cables used in Puna? My neighbor here on Maui just had his installed...dug a 3 ft. trench to be up to code. Seems it may be more economical to rip a trench while you are clearing the drive. Any restrictions due to seismicity or otherwise? Mahalos, M RE: Utilities - Kapohocat - 04-04-2006 Talk to your electrician but many people are doing underground utlities and doing the trenching for them at the same time as the other site work is being done. |
