RE: Tomatoes - Nalu - 05-25-2007 Hi Mella, I grow the yellow pear tomatoes up in Mountain View. It's growing just as vigorously as my cherry tomato plant. I'm also having great success with tomatillos. I got the veg. starts from "Paradise Plants". I love that place. Aloha, Angela RE: Tomatoes - mella l - 05-26-2007 Oh yummy, thanks Angela, for the shopping spot and the tomato info! Mahalo! mella l Edited by - mella l on 05/26/2007 04:47:08 RE: Tomatoes - Kapohocat - 05-28-2007 mella - that is what I WAS growing - was the yellow pear shaped tomatoes...... did really well until the leaf miners.. RE: Tomatoes - mella l - 05-28-2007 So Kapohocat, what is the future plan for your next batch of tomatoes other than proper moisture. Will you feed occasionally? Here I feed the tomatoes just twice once at the beginning and then again half way thru their season. I use fish emulsion and it seems to do the job, however we don't have any rain here during the growing season, just the irrigation we do. mella l |
