Unfortunately Matthias isn't at Makuu much anymore, but I do second Mitzi's recommendation of him. He REALLY knows his stuff. Check out his website at www.wonderfulorchids.com. I think what he shows on the site is only a fraction of what he has growing. He's also at Prince Kuhio on Fridays.

My wife buys orchids from the guy across from the post office in Pahoa. She says they are only $2 apiece. We always have something beautiful around the house.

Went to the Pahoa market today and got a box of orchids for $20. Twelve in all. Less than $2.00 each.
