Boy are they beautiful, almost too beautiful to eat. Thanks Allen for the sites! Would love to plant a few some day.
What is the flavor of this fruit? I see it is currently in Sobe, Snapple ect and also cocktail recipes, but no where do I see what the flavor is. Mahalo

You can buy them at the farmers market. They are $2-3 each.

Mella,
I would rank the flavor in with apples, watermelon, bananas, rambutans, etc. Mild and pleasant, but not particularly special or distinctive, so it is hard to describe their flavor. I have not found a white fleshed variety that I like as well as my better pink and magenta fruits. I like them and I get reasonably good production even in pots.
I definitely will grow them when we move to the Big Island.

Thanks Allen, I would like to grow them when we settle also. The plants are architecturally apealing as well as the fruit decorative and so colorful, and to be tasty also, well what's not to like? Wonder if you can make them into jams?
