RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - Bob Orts - 03-25-2009 O.K., I get what you're saying Seeb. Yes, that now appears to be true. As I mentioned, because they use a corporate paramilitary operational structure, who wouldn't use them for distribution? If I need to send 1,000 packages all over the US, and want to maximize profit, minimize expense, and get some guarantees of delivery, I'm not going to use Billy Ray's Shipping, Bait, and Septic Cleaning service; I'm going to use FedEx. The funny thing is the control of the Mexican drug cartels is Mexican and Central Americans, but the actual US operation is mostly homeland americans. RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - Beachboy - 03-25-2009 as a former inmate of the federal system I can report to any that cares that we do have a south of the boarder influence in the local drug trade here. As reported recently in the mainland media, our borders are becoming "red"! Red from the blood of both narco campasino & federal agents. Several years back in Honolulu I had to fortune to deal with several of these types. That was over 8 years ago, so you can imagine now how their influence is locally. But most of these so=called Mexican gangsters are of lower level of their respected gangs. Normally these so=called gangsters are young nationals in their early twenties just trying to make a buck/pesco. Not only are these guys locked into Honolulu, but they have a big presence on Maui and here of course. But I think Hawaii could is different than the west coast. Hispanics blend in on the west coast. They tend to stand out more like "dog's balls" here. [ ![]() ----------- Let's get together and over grow the government!!!! RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - Obie - 03-25-2009 With the restrictions on the sale of pseudoephedrine, the mom and pop drugs labs have pretty much disappeared. Most of the meth is coming from the cartels. Read this article to see how it works. The end dealers are your next door neighbors. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18390628/ RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - TheodoreJay - 03-25-2009 Well it all depends on if Puna area is profitable or not. Small towns are good for the drug cartels to set up and blend in as a distribution point near big cities but I doubt the volume in Puna, Kona, Hilo is enough to bother. Honolulu is very likely distribution point. Here's a good argument for not using any of that stuff, the money all goes back to Mexico almost immediately by wire transfer. What I say is support your local "farmer". RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - gtill - 03-25-2009 Unfortunately, the exchange/trade is what brought theme here, our growers couldn't ship'm because of the green harvest narco build up, so they brought over heroin and cocaine to swap for buds. They have also infiltraed the whole country, so don't blame the growers. It all started with the war on drugs and green harvest. RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - Kapohocat - 03-25-2009 quote: Seriously, (urban legend follows) probably for the same reason that we have a higher than average group of 1) America's most wanted and 2) Witness Protection program in Puna? I used to smell meth being made on my block in no hollywood. Hard to smell out on a 3 ac parcel in Puna. RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - keiregan - 03-25-2009 was at the market a few sundays ago and i see a hispanic man with a 13 tattooed on his neck. I believe it's from the gang ms 13 which is on of the deadliest gangs around. google it you will see. Very bad people. Sure hope it's not them. RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - gtill - 03-25-2009 Mabe he's just unlucky! RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - Obie - 03-25-2009 quote: So you are saying that pot is addictive and users need to replace it with another drug ??? RE: Mexican 'Drug Cartels' in Hilo and Kona? - Obie - 03-25-2009 Here is another little deal about the Mexican drug cartels. http://www.sltrib.com/utah/ci_11994526?source=rv Note that this current. |
