RE: Travel agent question - PaulW - 03-25-2009 Yapta.com sounds perfect for a dog. RE: Travel agent question - StillHope - 03-25-2009 Only for smaller barking breeds[] RE: Travel agent question - David M - 03-25-2009 Just curious... driving from Kona to Puna... your personally owned vehicle or rental? If rental, you might want to check on rental pet policy. David Ninole Resident RE: Travel agent question - StillHope - 03-25-2009 Renting.Any problems with that? RE: Travel agent question - Dennis - 03-26-2009 When I shop for airfare, usually I get the best deal directly from the airline web site. You will not pay the small fee that Orbitz, Expedia etc. charge. That being said, I booked two round trips to Spain, $985.00 round trip. Just this past week, the fare had dropped to $615.00 round trip. I contacted Delta and they had a policy that I could get a credit on future flights but had to eat $250.00 per ticket. Wound up $239.00 ahead. Better than nothing. Now had I bought the same trip through Orbitz, and paid the $10.00 service fee, I would have been refunded the difference when someone booked the same flight automatically. So, I guess it is best to shop and check all sources before you pull the trigger. The biggest problem I have is if I wait, the market usually goes the wrong way, UP! RE: Travel agent question - StillHope - 03-26-2009 Thank you,Dennis! I was thinking to buy several months in advance. United is a very "special" about this flight (#57) ( pet owners will cough out the price ,right?) - I wouldn't count on any low rate in particular. But somehow Yapta has tickets about 300 less now.The only problem is that I am not sure about the dates. |
