Our favorite banana is the apple. How does the Madagascar compare?

Choke bananas at 2800? Maybe there is hope for me. I'm at 3200 in Royal Hawaiian Estates and was ready to cross bananas off my list. I have seen a handful of banana trees around here but never noticed any fruit. Which varieties have done the best for you and how long did it take to see your first fruit?

Bananas... you need to fertilize them. If you have a pig, pig poo is the best. If not, go to BEI and buy it bagged. Makes an incredible difference. We also spread ash from our fires on the bananas.

Lastly they produce one bunch and then you have to cut them down. After they are cut off at ground level, keiki (babies) will come up. They fruit in 12 to 18 months.

hit the floor each morning, the devil says

"Oh Crap, She's up!"
