But with oil at $100/barrel some of the tar sand stuff in Canada and especially Venezuela start looking profitable. Heck,at 100 bucks a barrel Venezuela has the largest oil supplies around and starts to shift the balance of power in OPEC. Of course tar sand extraction of oil will be environmentally unpleasant . Hawaii should grow hemp and go to biodiesel...solar and wind wouldn't hurt either. |
