RE: Websites you haunt! - Carolann R - 03-14-2006 Aloha all...I like to go to http://www.surfline.com/home/index.cfm to check out Pipeline videos and different surfing contests...enjoy! Mahalo! Carrie ![]() RE: Websites you haunt! - Howard - 03-16-2006 I usually read the headlines, at least, on both the Hawaii Tribune-Herald and Honolulu Advertiser sites. I check www.bigislandgrinds.com periodically; unlike most other Hawaii-based food sites, it provides info about this island instead of just (or mostly) Honolulu. Two of my favorite non-Hawaii sites are the sports section of the Philadelphia Daily News, http://www.philly.com/mld/dailynews/sports/, which is one of the best sports sections in the nation, and Romanesko, http://www.poynter.org/column.asp?id=45, a source of news and commentary about journalism with links to newspapers and TV/radio stations all over the country. Howard RE: Websites you haunt! - David D - 03-16-2006 Hey Howard! I like the Bigislandgrinds.com site. I haven’t seem that one before! David D RE: Websites you haunt! - jdirgo - 03-17-2006 I checked out bigislandgrinds yesterday and liked it a lot. The guy needs to get out to Pahoa though -- can't believe that Luquin's or the Thai places aren't on there. I don't see them posting here or on the Kona web anymore. Their site is still up http://www.littlebrownbat.com/Hilo_House/ but there is no indication of wether they finished the house or not. RE: Websites you haunt! - HADave - 03-20-2006 www.local.live.com is pretty cool RE: Websites you haunt! - mella l - 03-25-2006 I forgot about this cam site that is pretty cool. Just love the sounds, and the night viewing is incredible as well as the day light. This is Pete's watering hole in Africa a National Geo. site. Have fun!
