I love Casa Blancas though they are a little hard to grow on quite different seasons, and they are usually left for the flower makers that can truly hold their own.

Pentas should be a good option also and they really take a good bloom for the whole year and that they require very little attention for the year. Periwinkles are also great for those who would want shorter ones.

I would also vote for ground orchids or pentas. These ones are my favorites. I made a massive flower order ( http://www.serenataflowers.com ) last spring, where I bought seeds and grown up flowers to finish my garden! I love the look and will do the same this season! I can't wait! I also like to try out some new flowers which I didn't have in my garden before Smile I like variation!

I like pentas...beautiful flowers all year round with little care. But the plant is more bushy and taller than periwinkle.

There is a dwarf variety...stay pretty tight and only gets up to about 18 inches..

Never heard of this dwarf variety. What do you mean 'tight'?
Where can you get these?
