RE: Yet another wet weekend? - PunaMauka2 - 10-03-2015 quote: choke, for days. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - TomK - 10-03-2015 According to radar (and some extent, satellite images), there is some heavy precipitation moving into the Volcano and Lower Puna area, and some nasty stuff offshore that might hit Upper Puna, but more likely Hilo and Hamakua in a few hours. I'm a little surprised we're not under a flash flood watch, although there is a flood advisory for the Big Island. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - MarkP - 10-03-2015 I forgot to reset my Puna rain gauge, just set it out now. However, my 10' diameter catchment tank, recently drained almost completely, has risen 3' since this morning. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - TomK - 10-03-2015 HPP looks as though it's about to get smacked by some heavy stuff. Stay dry everyone, and please remember to turn on your headlights if you're driving in the rain on Sunday. And next week. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - TomK - 10-03-2015 "HPP looks as though it's about to get smacked by some heavy stuff." Well, that prediction disappeared down the drain. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - Amrita - 10-03-2015 In OCLA on 37th. 6.575 inches 12 hours ending at 3:30 AM. But right now the moon is shining and there is a respite from the rains. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - Justin - 10-04-2015 8" last night in Upper Leilani. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - MarkP - 10-04-2015 My bucket collected no more since 1:30 this morning and the sun is shining now. It has been a wet weekend for me in more ways than one. I have spent the entire weekend re-building my water system and chasing repeated leaks. Everything smells like mold and my floor tile is lifting in places. My catchment tank is full again though. RE: Yet another wet weekend? - justthefacts - 10-04-2015 well thanks for the info it poured last night and the front yard had a pond for the ducks this morning. now its sunny and hot but I am guessing that will change by the night and tomorrow it will be raining again. tough to predict . |
