Please try to avoid this intersection if possible
Simply take the "detour" through Hawaiian Acres. Residents of that subdivision don't mind a few hundred extra cars on "their" roads that "they" paid for, right?

I see in the above by 2 cents how he has taken some community problem and let us know of it. I also see where you have told him how to follow thru on your advice. Maybe you could do this as a community service. Sounds like you know how. I think you stated you live in HPP.

I no longer live in HPP, although I still own there, and have not witnessed this myself, so I could not in all honesty contact government officials and complain about something based on an anonymous web posting. If I haven't seen it I can't really take pictures or describe what I saw, now could I?
If the OP really wants to do something about it beyond complaining here, they now know what the process is to do so, that process works well with all sorts of government agencies.

I took the initiative, and forwarded the said posting to HDoT and the contractor to investigate further.

Thank you Aaron. We passed thru the intersection this morning at about 8:30.....leaving about 30 minutes earlier as necessary as we were not sure what to expect at Shower and 130. It was not bad. If I have my vision impeded but the worker's trucks, I too will contact DOT.

Thank you Aaron. I was pretty busy yesterday and just wanted to post a quick note to warn people. The fact that you took it to the next level is just one more example of the value of this forum, so I thank Rob as well. I saw the trucks parked there a couple of days ago when I passed by on the highway, but the real danger didn't occur to me until I attempted to enter the highway from Pohaku Drive yesterday. Even turning right felt like a gamble.

I followed up with my DOT contact regarding this issue. It involved one of Glover's subcontractors. Glover immediately looked into the issue, and measured (and marked) where vehicles can park without infringing on sight distances.
